雖然早前 Google 傳不會再投入開發 Project ARA ，不過，最近卻有外媒將這部機拿到手，而且是初所見更高階的 A8A01 ，這部機的完成度相當高，而相信亦有可能是見街版本。根據外媒指，這部機的主要屏幕框架為金屬，以加強耐撞度，同時亦可多次更換模組更耐用。而不同模組主要以磁力貼附在機身，方便更換，至於規格亦都曝光，希望今次真的可以賣街。
雖然當初 Google 指由於磁性吸附模組方式，不太穩陣，但今次仍然繼續採用，相信是在磁力上作出改良。不過由於模式化的關係，機身厚度會提高到 12.5mm ，差不多比現時大廠的旗艦機厚一倍，但小編覺得問題不大。
